IHC, through IDEA Services provides support services for people with an intellectual disability so that they can live, work and enjoy life as part of their community. Give your support to people with intellectual disabilities and, in return, we'll give you all the support you need for your career.

We provide a range of support services including home support, respite care, day activity services, supported living and residential support services. We currently have full-time opportunities in the Nelson Area working across services.

No previous experience or qualifications needed - If you have the right attitude and a willingness to learn, full training and support will be provided.

You will:
  • Be available for shift work, including some weekends and sleepovers
  • Have a full New Zealand drivers licence
  • Be able to complete a satisfactory police check, and be legally entitled to work in New Zealand for a minimum of 12 months
  • Access to ongoing training & development, mentoring and support aimed at developing your professional and personal skills and a chance to earn a qualification
